Metaphor
1. Literature is a world that we try build up and enter at the same time.
2. The history of the world is the world’s court of justice.
3. All slang is metaphor, and all metaphor is poetry.
1. My heart is like a singing bird
Whose nest is in a watered shoot;
My heart is like an apple-tree
Whose boughs are bent with thickset fruit;
My heart is like a rainbow shell
That paddles in a halcyon sea;
My heart is gladder than all these
Because my love is come to me.

2. Time is like a river made up of the events which happen, and its current is strong; no sooner does anything appear than it is swept away, and another comes in its place, and will be swept away too.
3. A speech is like a love affair: any fool can start one but to end it requires considerable skill.
